GAPI
Group had its beginning in the sixties, more as a guiding idea than
as an active group of Companies. At that time, Gapi had a reputation
and expanded itself as a manufacturer of O-Rings, developing and
industrializing injection moulding technology, finishing operations
and post curing of rubber.
In the following years, new products have been
developed in the sectors of sealing and fluid containment, in
countless different industrial fields.
During
1987, GAPI USA was incorporated and began activity as a logistics
center for entering into North America markets.
In 1991 was acquired LANZA NUOVA Spa with its product
lines of PTFE, thus integrating the product program
where was prevailing rubber
production.
The building of the Cividino-Italy logistics center
was the starting point for a total reorganisation of the Group not
only for marketing but also for industrial output.

originating by acquiring a part of DSM Polypenco. In 1999, Pradella
& Matego enters into the Group and in Germany; another part of DSM
Polypenco is incorporated into GAPI GmbH.
GAPI evolution from industrial company to chief of an industrial Group
is representative of industrial development of East-Bergamo area
which evolved from agriculture and one sector industry (textile) to the
actual reality. Bergamo has today a sound presence in all industrial
sectors.
GAPI Group counts today on 10 production centres and 11 commercial points operating through 4 Logistics Centres.
The philosophy, which since from the beginning has
impressed GAPI GROUP evolution, during last years, developed itself and
was enriched by the impact of technology and policies protecting the
environment and human
individuals all over the planet.
Today, in time of globalisation, there is only one
world market in which you must fight to become and remain a leader in
order to attain profitability and growth through competitiveness and
innovation.
